About Annual Scouting Day
Scouting Day is a special event where Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts learn about the work performed by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office and other public safety agencies in our county. This event includes hands on equipment displays, educational activities, and demonstrations. Youth and families can meet and interact with deputies, officers, and volunteers from the Crime Prevention Unit, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, K-9 Unit, S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons and Tactics), Water Patrol Unit, Dive Team, and Community Support Services. At previous Scout Day events members of the Lake Johanna Fire Department, Allina Ambulance Service, Army National Guard, Ramsey County Public Works, Salvation Army, and Ramsey County Emergency Management and Homeland Security have participated to give tours of their vehicles and answer any questions.
The Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office invites Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Cub Scouts (along with their troop leaders and parents/guardians) to attend the department's Annual Scouting Day.
Scouting Day is held on the third Saturday in February at the Ramsey County Public Works facility, located adjenct to the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Station, 1411 Paul Kirkwold Drive, Arden Hills (just north of Highway 96 and Hamline).
