Working Together for a Healthy Community
The Minnesota Department of Health provides SHIP funds in order for our community members to have healthier lives. These funds work in three key areas to improve our health, increasing physical activity, improving healthy food access, and reducing the use and exposure to tobacco. SHIP is focused on supporting access to healthy activities through policy, system and environmental changes. Currently, we are in the third cycle of funding and are focused on the following: Healthy Eating in the Community | Physical Activity in the Community | Tobacco-Free Living | Schools | Worksites | Childcare | Community Clinics
