Now Accepting 2012 Shelter and Pavilion Reservations

Ramsey County Parks and Recreation accepts reservations for picnic shelters and pavilions by phone (651) 748-2500, mail and in person from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday.  For in person reservations please come to our administrative office at 2015 N. Van Dyke Street, Maplewood, MN.

Ramsey County Parks and Recreation has built new shelters (medium 75 capacity and large 125 capacity) at the following locations:

*Keller Regional Park  1 large and 3 medium shelters, *Battle Creek Regional Park 1 medium shelter,  **Turtle Lake County Park 1 medium shelter

They are all available to reserve starting on January 3rd. 

Available for rent beginning *Saturday, May 26th or **Monday, August 13th.

Picnic Shelter and Pavilion Rental Information

2012 Picnic Season runs May 5, 2012 - September 30, 2012

Payment: Cash (we are unable to accept $100 bills), in-state checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards are accepted.

Cancellations / Refunds / Transfers
Shelters: No refunds are given due to weather conditions or cancellations. If you wish to change a reservation, all requests must be made at least thirty (30) days prior to the original reservation date. A $10.00 transfer fee will be applied. To process the transfer, permittee must return original permit before a new permit will be issued. If transfer request is for a shelter with a higher fee, reservation will be held for three (3) business days to allow time to remit additional fee. No refunds will be given if transfer is to a shelter with a lesser rental fee.

Pavilions: For cancellations made sixty (60) or more days prior to the event date, the rental fee, less a $25.00 cancellation charge, shall be refunded. For cancellations made 30-59 days prior to the event date, 50% of the permit fee shall be refunded. For cancellations made less than thirty (30) days prior to the event date, the full fee shall be retained. If you wish to change a reservation, all requests must be made thirty (30) days prior to the original reservation date. A $10.00 transfer fee will be applied. To process transfer, permittee must return original permit before a new permit will be issued. If transfer request is for a pavilion with a higher fee, reservation will be held for five (5) business days to allow time to remit additional fee. No refunds will be given if transfer is to a pavilion with a lesser fee.

Special Use Permits

If you are planning an event in the Ramsey County Park System and the event includes a pig roast, dunk tank, game/carnival activities, race/walk/bike events, water ski events, fishing contests, amplified sound (music or announcements) etc., a Special Use Permit is required.

No amplified sound of any kind allowed at Battle Creek Regional Park.  Therefore, if your picnic plans include the need for music or announcement, please plan to utilize a different facility within our park system.

Recycling at Ramsey County picnic shelters
