Adults who cannot live independently due to physical, emotional, developmental or mental health concerns may live in foster care. Homes are located throughout Ramsey County.
There are corporate sponsored homes, also known as "group homes" and traditional homes. At both, foster care residents participate in supervised community activities. In traditional homes, the provider lives in the home and is the primary caregiver. In corporate homes, shift staff deliver services.
Ramsey County Community Human Services licenses, monitors and supports foster homes for vulnerable adults in need of placement. If you live outside of Ramsey County, contact social services in your county for Adult Foster Care licensing information.
