          • Schools, law enforcement or other agencies refer people to us. Or people come in on their own because they want services.

          • First, we interview clients to do an intake screening.

          • Then clients can be connected with services.

Adolescent Living Skills (ALS)

ALS has resources for teens and young adults who live or have lived in foster care. Informal groups help people get ready to live on their own. Coordinators also help with circle of support meetings.

    Adoption
    Social workers join adults with foster children and teens waiting to be adopted. They answer questions; help with applications and give on-going training and support.

    Cash Assistance
    There are cash and voucher programs for food, clothing, housing and medical needs. These programs are for eligible residents.

    Child Care
    Families might get help paying for child care if they have received MFIP funds in the past 12 months or have low incomes. Families can also check on the license status of day care providers.

    Child Protection Services (CPS)
    Ramsey County has intake services for child abuse and neglect. We also provide case management.
