Where to File for Office in 2014 (Affidavit of Candidacy)
Affidavits and informational materials are available at the filing offices. Staff at the filing office can certify affidavits.
Federal offices - candidates must file at the Secretary of State's office.
Constitutional offices, Minnesota Supreme Court, and Minnesota Court of Appeals - candidates who are residents of Ramsey County may file at the Ramsey County Elections office or the Secretary of State's office.
State and judicial offices - candidates who are residents of Ramsey County and want to file for offices listed below may file at either the Ramsey County Elections office or the Secretary of State's office:
State Senator in Districts 38, 41, 42, 43, 53, 64, 65, 66 and 67;
State Representative in Districts 38B, 41A, 41B, 42A, 42B, 43A, 43B, 53A, 64A, 64B, 65A, 65B, 66A, 66B, 67A and 67B; or
Judge of Second District Court
Ramsey County offices - candidates must file at Ramsey County Elections.
Arden Hills, Gem Lake, Mounds View, North Oaks, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear Township offices - candidates may file at Ramsey County Elections. All other city candidates must file with their city clerk.

Candidate Spending (Campaign Finance Reports)
You can review each candidate's financial reports and those of committees that are making contributions to candidates and committees that support or oppose ballot questions. See below to determine which organization has the reports available for viewing.
Federal offices - candidates and committees file with the Federal Election Commission.
State offices - candidates and committees file reports with the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.
Ramsey County offices - candidates and committees file reports with Ramsey County Elections.
City offices for Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Gem Lake, Mounds View, North Oaks, Roseville, Saint Paul, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear Township - candidates and committees must file reports with Ramsey County Elections. Candidates for all other municipalities within Ramsey County file reports with their respective city clerk.
School board offices for Mounds View (621), Roseville (623), White Bear Lake Area (624), and Saint Paul (625) - candidates and committees file reports with Ramsey County Elections. Candidates for all other school districts within Ramsey County file reports with their respective school district clerk.
