Filing information for 2015 (Affidavit of Candidacy)

Affidavits and informational materials will be available at the filing offices by May 1. Staff at the filing office can certify affidavits.

If you would like to complete the forms electronically, visit Filing for Office. Please do not sign the form until you are in the presence of an official who can administer oaths.

Early Filing Period (May 19 - June 2)

Candidates for these offices must file at their city hall:

  • City of Maplewood
  • City of White Bear Lake

Candidates for these offices may file at Ramsey County Elections or at their school board office:

  • ISD 624 (White Bear Lake Area Schools)

Late Filing Period (July 28 - August 11)

Candidates for these offices must file at Ramsey County Elections:

  • City of Falcon Heights
  • City of Saint Paul
  • ISD 621 (Mounds View)
  • ISD 623 (Roseville)
  • ISD 625 (Saint Paul)

Candidates for these offices must file at their city hall:

  • New Brighton
  • Saint Anthony

Candidates for these offices must file at their school board office:

  • ISD 282 (Saint Anthony - New Brighton)

Filing Fees

  • City of Falcon Heights candidates $2
  • City of Maplewood candidates $5
  • City of Saint Anthony candidates $2
  • City of Saint Paul candidates $250
  • City of White Bear Lake candidates $5
  • School board candidates $2

Campaign Finance Filing Information for Candidates and Committees

For information on campaign finance requirements, please visit campaign finance information. 

Candidate Spending (Campaign Finance Reports)
You can review each candidate's financial reports and those of committees that are making contributions to candidates and committees that support or oppose ballot questions.  See below to determine which organization has the reports available for viewing.

Federal offices - candidates and committees file with the Federal Election Commission.

State offices - candidates and committees file reports with the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board.

Ramsey County offices - candidates and committees file reports with Ramsey County Elections.

City offices for Arden Hills, Falcon Heights, Gem Lake, Mounds View, North Oaks, Roseville, Saint Paul, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear Township - candidates and committees must file reports with Ramsey County Elections.  Candidates for all other municipalities within Ramsey County file reports with their respective city clerk. 

School board offices for Mounds View (621), Roseville (623), White Bear Lake Area (624), and Saint Paul (625) - candidates and committees file reports with Ramsey County Elections.  Candidates for all other school districts within Ramsey County file reports with their respective school district clerk.
