Monitor a trail of bluebird nests boxes April through August. Check for predation, count eggs, and fledglings and maintain boxes. Weekly Commitment.

Create and maintain a flower garden that will beautify our park system. Individuals, area businesses, neighbors, and garden clubs are welcomed. Begins in April.

Choose from sap collector, fire tender, or syrup finisher. This program takes place only during the month of March.
Monarch Larva Monitor (Tamarack Nature Center) l 651.407.5350 l more information
Monitor a patch of Tamarack's milkweed looking for monarch caterpillars. Take the study one step further and collect some caterpillars to collect data on how many make it to adulthood. Weekly commitment from May through August.

Assist with land management projects such as exotic species control, park clean up, wood chipping trails, and garden care. Projects are seasonal.

Assist Parks and Recreation staff by collecting litter and debris in a park or trail segment. One-time annual event.
