Fair Housing

The Fair Housing Implementation Council was established in July, 2002 to initiate activities in the metropolitan area that are designed to stop discrimination and promote integration. Activities are a response to the 2001 Regional Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing, an educational tool for housing planners, policy makers and industry professionals. Based on Action Plan Recommendations, the Fair Housing Implementation Council has worked on issues including:

  • Tenant Screening Best Practices
  • Supply and Demand for Accessible Housing
  • Limited English Proficiency
  • Fair Housing Testing
  • Information and Outreach
