Thank You for your interest in Volunteers in Corrections!
The Ramsey County Volunteers in Corrections Program has over 265 active volunteers and interns who join our department each year. Volunteers and interns provide a direct, caring, and personal link for both juvenile and adult client/offenders.
Our volunteers have made a real difference in the lives of our offenders. Volunteers provided over 25,800 hours in 2010. They served as tutors, group facilitators, library and research assistants, befrienders, dorm assistants and interns in both adult and juvenile probation.
We have volunteer/ intern opportunities at the following places:
- Downtown St. Paul
- The Ramsey County Correctional Facility (formerly known as “the workhouse”)
- The Juvenile Detention Center (JDC)
- Boys Totem Town
New Opportunity - 7/23/12
AA Group Facilitator - The volunteer will lead group discussion and support group for female inmates at the Ramsey County Correctional Facility (RCCF). Apply Now Online!
All of these sites utilize volunteers to add to the programming and interaction with our offenders while providing interested students, community members, the faith community, and interns opportunities to both change lives and learn more about the field of corrections.
